The trains between hubs are a very clever way of doing the loading screens...
I lol'd at that so hard, my loading times are awful and the train ride length feels downright realistic.

Hell, you might as well just walk everywhere if it takes that long. The only time you ever have to use the Metro is when you're going to and from the part of town where Jensen's apartment is.
On another note, it was pretty cool seeing Page and Manderley conspiring together. It's funny, the way everything's going, if you were to play the entire series for the first time in chronological order, you'd have nearly the entirety of Deus Ex spoiled for you before you even get to play it.

Loving the verticality of the levels. Reminds me of dishonored at times in the hubs.
Not loving endless hacking experience grind yet again, but that's my own fault for doing it. TF29 HQ was the worst... so many things one can hack!

PC Patch notes for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Patch build 524.7
AUGUST 24 - POTICHA
We have just released the first PC patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, v1.0 build 524.7. This patch focusses on critical issues users ran into immediately following release.
This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client or manually look for updates in the Windows Store.
The following fixes are in this patch:
• Fixed crashes caused by third-party programs interfering with the game.
• Fixed crash that occurred after viewing the intro videos.
• Fixed issue that could cause a crash at the end of the Prague intro scene.
• Fixed mouse invert setting not being displayed correctly in the options menu.
Note about performance
We are seeing people reporting performance issues when playing the game on Very High/Ultra settings with MSAA set to 2x, 4x, or 8x. We would like to emphasize again that these options are very demanding.
We recommend everyone that is running at recommended spec or higher to start with the High Preset and MSAA turned off, and then tweak the options to optimize your experience.
While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we have made a Beta available on Steam, v1.0_build 524.6, that can be used to switch back to the previous version.
We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

I think I'm coming up on the end. I just now received a mission that, if I take it, cuts me off from all the optional missions available to me in Prague. I'm expecting this last stretch will last about a good 2-3 hours, which means it'd have lasted me about 25 hours, give or take, though I'm far from doing everything there is to do in the game.

Going through the wrong lines/getting on the wrong train in the station is goddamn hilarious. After like 8 hours I'm finally leaving the district with Adam's apartment for the first time.

I just completed the Golem City mission, and by the gods, that's a long-assed mission.
I'm a little ticked off with the game at the moment for a few reasons.
One, without telling the player, the rules on how to ghost a Deus Ex level appear to have changed. It looks like knocking people out invalidates ghost runs now. I sure as hell haven't set off any alarms or had an enemy state go above "Suspicious" (even going so far as to reload if such a state occurs), yet I've missed out on the Ghost bonus in both major, post intro missions I've played so far. Yet I know I got Ghost on the intro mission, even though I knocked out loadsa guys.
Two, knocking people out but not killing them in the train station level still results in the game treating the outcome as the most violent one, basically branding you a terrorist. I had no hard save before the start of that mission, so couldn't change that outcome.
And three, the AI is dumb as bricks when compared to MGSV. I mean, it's embarrassing how bad the AI is and how easy it is to exploit. Augments? Weapons? Why bother, when you can clear entire levels with your basic takedown and a plastic bin?
The AI always only sends one guy to investigate the source of a sound, even if more than one has become "Suspicious" at the sound of you throwing your trusty plastic bin at the corner you're now lurking behind. In addition, patrol routes seem to be easier to avoid and exploit than they were in Human Revolution, and I've not found a single scenario that can't be beaten with my trusty plastic bin. There's been no choke points where I've had to come up with something more radical than chucking my bin at a wall, whereas I remember HR having some distinctly tricky choke points where things like the multiple takedown upgrade were almost required in order to get past them stealthily.
I am enjoying the game massively however (playing on Give Me Deus Ex), and am eking out every last bit of gameplay I can. I'd almost completely explored Prague before even getting my augs looked at by the guy in the bookstore thanks to multitools now being craftable :)
But yeah, environmental grabbables are your best friends in this game.

Hah, I like that you're playing it "plastic bin-style". :D Can you also sneak up on guards and put bins over their heads?

If you're patient and persistent enough, most of the levels in Human Revolution could be cleared of enemies using nothing more than single takedowns, even without using throwables to distract enemies. If you wanted to clear all the enemies and still get the ghost bonus, there were some spots where you would have to use a double takedown and a few spots where the stun gun was needed to take a guy down without him seeing you if you're not cloaked. I hesitate to call it an exploit because I think it was designed to support that play style. So far, Mankind Divided seems about the same to me.
I'm not sure what's up with the ghost bonuses Malf. I've been getting them when I've tried to, but when I do I've been staying silent and haven't been throwing stuff around, so I haven't put many enemies into the suspicious state.

Getting the ghost bonus seems to be entirely random, and might be victim to a bug. There was one story mission I did that I managed to sneak through without alerting anyone, only knocking out about 2-3 police officers that happened to be in my way, yet the game treated the event as if I walked in there, guns blazing, killing indiscriminately.
Considering it was a fairly big ingame event, it comes up in conversations quite a bit in the immediate aftermath. Jensen'll say "I didn't have a choice. They fired on me first. I did what I had to do to protect myself." NO ONE SHOT AT ME! I DIDN'T EVEN PULL OUT MY GUN!
