This has been edited to protect the source without lost of fact.
Most of the original Deus Ex team has been scattered to the ends of the earth at this point, especially since Eidos downsized the Ion Austin studio. I agree with you about the second game. It just never came together creatively, mostly because the team never came together. Very little of Invisible War is "dramatic," at least the way I understand the word. There was a great resistance on the team to anything resembling traditional storytelling, which in my opinion was one of the strengths of the first game.
The third game was shaping up to be very cool. I was finally
enthusiastic about the franchise again. I'm not sure how much of that
design has survived into Ion's current project, but we can both hope that
they will do something interesting with it.
There you go people there you go. It wasn't Eidios fault Ionstorm had the time.
In conclusion, Deus Ex 3 confirmed baby woo! :thumb:

It was leaked earlier this year that the "next game in the DX series" is going to be "action-oriented". Does that sound good? No.

I think maybe you were talking about Snowblind? Link here:

Now that's being made by Crystal Dynamics. It was going to be Deus Ex:Clan Wars but now resembles something totally different.(Or so they say they borrowed alot from Deus Ex) It does have similar backgrounds of Deus Ex.
As for Deus Ex 3 nothing is really known yet. They are working on it. :thumb:

I thought UnstoppableX meant Ion's next project and not Snowblind developed by Crystal Dynamics?
Catman on 16/9/2004 at 14:22
Yes, that is what UnstoppableX means. Ion Storm is working on Deus Ex 3, which has nothing to do with Snowblind.
