one of you haters give me an overview of the WHOLE story...
oops wait you don't know do you. to me #1 part of Deus ex =ed story
gameplay points came second. If they game is playable and has any sort of fuctionality then the story will be worth price of admission.

Trebor, Ctrl-F finds no mention of the word "logic" before your post. :weird:

Doesn't it? Oh bollocks what 'ave I done. I think I must have been looking at two topics at once or something. Sorry.
Blimey I'm a... fucking retard.
I won't edit it though so everyone can laugh at it.

I don't see the biomod system is more complex than the augs system. As far as I see they buthered the skill system, put parts of the skill system into the biomod system, adn then give you less biomod choices than augs in DX1.
Don't take me wrong, I like the open gameplay, character interactions, freeform explorations, etc. etc. but the UI is really giving me the headaches (hopefully it will be better designed for the PC in the full version), not just the two large bars right on screen, but also how the mouse functions in the inventory and biomod menu, very counter-intuitive.
And back then I remembered some people discussed that since the skill system in Deus Ex is near perfect, how they might improve it in the sequel... well, now we see how they "improve" it, they remove it... oh the irony :ebil:

I didn't have to kill Gobzilla either - just went up the secret airshaft, then plugged two tranqs into it. For good measure, I shock prodded the thug before she could whip out the spider bot, so I got a free spider bot out of it.
Simple, painless, no death.
I still knifed the unconscious Gobzilla though - I hate greasels. :laff:

Yeah I did a little checking. It is 150 from the ATM and yes you can build a visual barrier to stop the guard seeing you do it. Crouching behind it also works quite well. I do have to wonder what the guard made of me playing with the boxes and barrels...
However as others have elucidated there are no forced deaths in the demo and you can bribe your way to the finish.

If you don't kill Gobzilla, but just knock it out...
sleazy-trainer-dude insults you for your ineptitude (funny conversation, try it), and it still shows up to fight. Wanted the money, so reloaded. This time, threw in a spiderbot, which knocked out greasel. The Trainer-Thug saw the spiderbot and took it out. The explosion killed her greasel. Didn't even know I was there, and no evidence besides an exploding spiderbot, which the trainer has one of anyway.
For all anyone could tell, it was a freak accident.
You can easily build a barrier to hide behind in order to hack the ATM by
Pulling out a barrel in the stack to the left. The rest will all roll out, providing a nice fence to crouch behind and sneak up to the ATM.
