I think your figures are a bit off. The max I've got before betting on a fight is 450. Also, remember, the debt to Miss Saks is 1000.

I've paid off Saki before. And you can hide behind the ATM and hack it - you don't have to be in front.
Judicious use of the bowcaster (2 shots to render the greasel unconscious by sneaking through the air duct and shooting it from the opening twice.)
Then bet 250 or 500 on Green Dragon (who doesn't always win, so save beforehand.)
Then bet 500 on the 4-1 shot in the second round -- you have 1000-1600 credits, easily getting the 1000 for Saki.

Hey dumbass,
what did you expect people to do? This demo is nowhere near the awesome gaming experience that was Deus Ex. You can disagree on the specifics, but I don't think that you actually think this demo is as good or better than the first game. I think we can at least agree that this demo FUCKING SUCKS!!!

Er, the demo is fine, and you can do a ton of sneaking in it. You just didn't explore enough, nor spent any time on it.
Take your petition and use it for toilet paper - at least it will serve a purpose that way.

People seem to object to me declaring them to be whiners. Let me point out that - shock, horror - those who don't dislike this demo are continually vilified as "fanboys" and "dumbarses". I think "whiners" is somewhat less insulting, personally, as well as being quite a bit more accurate.
Justin - Thanks for your very eloguent argument. I am indeed a dumbarse. I will now go an fuck myself, as requested.
Jonah - I was talking aout the difficult in pulling it off entirely unarmed. As DX1 treated kills and knock-outs as identical, I still often neglect to specify the difference.

I'm pretty sure I got 1000 without killing the greasel or betting on the second fight. If you collect money before betting, you'll have 500 to blow on it.
And actually, if you don't want to kill Gob-zilla, why not simply bet on it in the fight? Still a fairly safe chance to make some cash and with that it should easily be enough to pay off the debt.

I didn't have to kill Gob-zilla. I just stood at the window outside the room with its cage, and the caretaker saw me and started throwing granates at me. Since I was outside the window, all the granates detonated at the cage and... well... I wasn't hurt.

Anarkos, with all your talk about 'logic', when you assume that because these people have a different opinion about the demo, they are wrong, well... it's... retarded.
Look they are allowed to have an opinion, and so are you.
Stop trying to apply logic to 'opinion', because it won't bloody work.
Just accept it, most people right now seem to dislike the demo, some don't. That does not mean that one side is more correct than the other, it just shows that a larger proportion of people share the opinion that the demo is crap. And before you go calling them 'whiners', well that's a bit silly aswell, since you started a whole thread whining at these people.
