Of course. It's his ATM! He dragged it out into that back alley and half-buried it himself!

This is the type of thing that happen to WC3.
Blizzard goes on to try and revolutionize gaming. To make a long story short, they cut out resource managment because they diddnt want the player to muck around with macro, they cut the unit limit down because they diddnt want the player to just make heaps of units. Anyway, they focused only on micro and heros, 2 things and the game online is going down because theres not enough to seperate a great player for a medicore one.
In DX1 there was a skill system, that 'aiming' system were you would wait for a sec for the crosshair to shrink, localised damage and heaps of junk. It was a real rpg at the same time as it told a good story.
From what i saw in the demo, they have cut everything out, its just a shooter and they have focused only on letting you progress through the story in a few different ways.
Everything else, like in WC3 was a distraction. They chose a large part of the game that was appealing and 'dumbed' everything down and focused only on one part.
And i dont think its all to blame on the xbox.
And the guns in DX1 looks better.

So, there's still hope...

I was extremely disappointed in this, for many of the reasons already listed. They dumbed down the wrong areas, didn't improve the right areas and generally ruined the feel of the first game.
We thought that console development would ruin this game, and sad to say we were proved right.

I just say it was the utter lack of Spector have the final say.

I'm not fond of games with long load times that don't make it obvious where the next part loads ... I agree, but how difficult would it be to provide an option for it?

The same would be nice for keypads. If you input it in once, then your character could do it automatically next time. Little late I suppose...

Isn't that .. dumbing down :ebil: . No, it is more of a UI improvement, removing the need to remember codes and making the game faster paced. Sounds good to me.

There's a difference. Putting it in each time can be annoying. This way, you'd still have to remember it or scour your conversation logs or whatever notes you made.
