At various times and places in the demo, everything on the computer freezes. It happens at any time between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. The only way out of the freeze is the power off switch on the case.
I installed DirectX 9.0b. I upgraded from the CAT 3.6 drivers to the CAT 3.9 drivers. I turned off fastwrites. I turnd the AGP down from 8x to 4x.
How do I fix this? It would be great if I could play the demo.

Don't worry it's not you it's the demo.
Maybe you can find some way to hack it and make it work over on the IS forums. :thumb:

Ctrl-Alt-Delete and kill all background programs. I had this problem myself, but this fixed it perfectly. You probably have a background program running that doesn't play nice in DXIW's memory sandbox.

I'll try that again. I did turn everything off but I don't remember if I did it before or after installing DirectX 9.0b and/or the CAT 3.9 drivers for the Radeon 9800 Pro.
