The relative size of the HUD at 1280x1024 is identical to its relative size at 640x480.
The relative size of 640x480 is 1280x960. 1280x1024 is not a 4:3 ratio.

It's only available in OpenGL I believe.
Actually, 1152x864
is available in DX7 mode on a 4:3 monitor.
It's strange how on my monitor 1152x864 is unavailable (in any game, or even Windows) but 800x600 and 1024x768 which are 4:3 resolutions always are. You'd think 1280x960 would be aswell.

How do I force games to use 1280*1024? Cos many games will only do 1280x960 and not *1024 :( What can I do?

try using a plug&play driver for your monitor, that may give you the ability to run in the 1152*864 res.
as for some games not allowing certain resolution, first, make sure your monitor supports it (see if you can set your desktop to that res.),and if it does,go for some cfg/ini editing.that should do it..
btw, forum bitches? I like the sound of that.right,zb? :cheeky:

Oh gosh, you're right. That extra 7% completely changes things.

yeah, mobb, I went and checked DX 7, and it (1152x864) is available in that rendering mode as well. Sry.

Well I dunno about drivers for my monitor - don't think it detected it properly or something :S
But my native resolution is 1280*1024 = 5 : 4 - it can display 1280*960 and 1024 : 768 = 4 : 3, but the thing is, it then stretches the picture and so it looks crap :'(
What can I do about this?
ZylonBane on 23/11/2005 at 15:16
Set it so it doesn't.
inselaffe on 23/11/2005 at 15:22
How? :erm:
ZylonBane on 23/11/2005 at 16:22
RTFM?

It doesn't say in the manual. It didn't have drivers I don't think either? Just uses in built windows ones or something:S
