I have Krahaz and Zohark and put them on but the meteor still drains my power and I can't destroy it. Whut am I doin' wrong, folks?

err...
if i remember correctly (which i may not - it's been a while & i don't have a save game to go look again), but i think it cut-scenes to the meteor being destroyed as soon as you go back to the temple (without even going into that room - at least if you enter by way of the bar - not sure if it's different entering from the goblin area) - once you have krahoz and zohark, of course
