I've just bought this game and to say that I'm stuck would be understating things.
Is it right that I've done nothing but wander around underground for what seems like weeks ever since I followed the Emperor out of the hole in my cell wall?
I keep having to restart since I find myself getting stuck behind something I've killed with no way around or over it.
I managed Morrowind fine and was really looking forward to this one but I seem to be plunged into nasty situations from the word go with no time to ease myself into it. Plus I'm feeling distinctly claustrophobic.
Am I just impatient or have I gone totally wrong somewhere?

It takes a little time to work your way out of the underground part of it just hang in there and keep going and you will find the end.

Without any specific info on what's happened and where you are it's kind of hard to give any useful advice. All I can tell from your post is that you're no longer in the cell, and you've killed something.

I think you really are getting impatient. Wen i bought this game i had no idea what i was getting into, and as soon as i left the dungeon, the game graphics, all the possible land to explore, and all the quests just overwhelmed me. I agree that the first dungeon where u hav to escape jail is tough, but if u can get through that, u can make it through the rest of the game. keep trying, its well worth it in the end, especially if its daytime b/c the transition from the dark dungeon to the outdoors is a great feeling.
