Congratulations! Downloading now.
I'm always a bit humbled when someone goes to all the bother of creating a game (or FM) and then shares it with the rest of us. Thank you!

This game is really good. That big spider thing beat the shit out of all my guys on easy but the game is still good Considering the high calibre of the game my only criticism would be models and motions that are a bit more refined. Sound effects could use a bit of work too but these are all minor in my opinion. The atmosphere sucked me in pretty quickly. Reminds me of Corridor99

Glad you're enjoying the game Rocketman, thanks for the feedback.
Yeah, I realise the models are pretty awful but I have virtually no 3D modelling ability so I had to work with what I could find.

The link for this game appears to be broken and I recently formatted so I'm trying to download it again.

Bump!
The link at the top of this post is fixed, and includes a new and improved version of the game.

Awesome, thanks! I missed this the first time around, and RocketMan's bump got me interested.
Too bad I don't actually have time to play it yet... :p

It has a certain element to it that reminds me very much of system shock and it's not the plot or anything. I think it's the feeling of isolation and the dark...2 things that are extremely well done in this game even if they are technically simple to implement.
what's new in this release?
earok on 14/7/2009 at 02:05
Quite a bit thats new, this is just off the top of my head
* Framerate is a lot smoother
* New weapon: Shotgun for the Engineer
* Rotating radar screen
* Some new music and sound
* Much improved "multi-view" mode
* Windowed mode
* Slightly less predictable AI
* Misc graphical enhancements, such as the terminal screens and flags on Marine uniforms
* Level editor at (
http://earok.net/node/412)
* Bug fixes everywhere, such as one that made the map screen blank on some computers
Overall, more of an evolutionary then a revolutionary update, but by far the best release of Derelict yet.
