:erg: I wonder what percentage of players on their first playthrough install the chip? It's so obviously a trap, or so it seemed to me, but I guess most players just go through their goal checklist without really thinking about them.

I think in a way that's sort of a smirking commentary by the developers, that we're all good little quest followers who do as we're told.

I suppose that could be true. If so, and I hope it is, then kudos to them. But I can't help feeling like they approached it from the other angle, like they tried really hard to get players to think about what they're doing - and failed. :(

I did see it as a trap, but wanted to see the trap. I don't like making the obvious choices anyway. As it was, that third boss battle would've been far too easy by keeping the chip as some of the youtube vids show.
Most of the storytelling and setup by the devs was very well done. If the gameplay was more difficult in general, I'd have missed more of the details I think. I pretty much knocked all baddies out that needed to be for me to complete goals. This wasn't the case in the hubs mind you, but in the isolated areas I spent whatever time I needed to drop the enemies without alerting anyone. Not the Lytha method for sure, but I doubt I can play any game as a true ghost player. Like to clear the field more than hide and creep.
