two quick questions. I made changes to the default.ini file and i was wondering if i could stick just those changes in the zip file as say default_patch or if i needed to include the whole file.
also, while digging around in the various properties i found an option under sound to turn on occlusion on actors. Im curious to know if this is actually what it implies it is, a way to block sound from travelling through a brush or mesh. which would be nice, because as it stands you can hear people snoring through walls, and people on the floor above me all of a sudden become alerted if i knock something over.

I don't know if the sound occlusion property works, but you can stop that kind of problem with zones and zoneinfo actors - which have a property you can set to say what type of "soundscape" the room uses.
If you've ever messed with Half-Life/Source, it's kind of like setting the DSP/Roomtype properties up, so some rooms echo more, some dampen sound and so on, and there's a tool in the Editor to help set them up, under View> Zone Properties Dialogue.
