I rather enjoyed playing NOLF, but seeing these gorgeous screenies and knowing how talented the people at LGS were, I know I would have chosen DEEP COVER over NOLF anytime. I'm so sorry we'll never get to play this gem.
Thanks for showing us glimts of heaven.:thumb:

Mike and Nate, thanks again for posting these, you guys didn't have to, but it shows once again what a nice bunch of guys and gals everyone was at Looking Glass (and still are..). I agree that these screens do look better than NOLF and I would have loved to wander thru that city, for sure.
But I have a question for you guys that maybe you can't answer, but then again maybe you can....;) Who has the "legal rights" to what you guys have in your hands? What I'm asking I guess is - did Eidos or "whoever" say after the dissolving of LGS, "That's ours to decide if we EVER want to release it"? I'm betting that someone still has a hook in it and we probably would find out just who it was once someone(s) starting developing it further (even if it was to be distributed freely - like an FM pack).
I think you might know where I'm going here - I have been so blown away by the talent of people who have "tackled" Dromed and made some levels that, IMO, could have went in the original T2. If none speak up, is it possible that we (the fans) could ever run with this? For it would be so sad that the hours and hours of your hard work and a great game never gets to those that would love to play it.
As one who has/is messing with Dromed, I have been so "elightened" to just how MUCH work goes into making a game....I just wish the other 90% or so people realized this when they are playing through a game. I have to admit, when I went through T2 for the 1st time, I was "awestruck" not by how fun the game looked or played (which was great), but more on thinking of you guys sitting in that LGS office with a blank Dromed screen on your computer and a lil 16x16x16 box in front of you guys. And from that point - to what I was actually playing then and how well everything LOOKED, SOUNDED, PLAYED, THE AI'S INTERACTION, THE CONVERSATIONS, THE AVI'S BETWEEN LEVELS, AND ECT.
Anyway, it would be a horrible shame to see all that hard work never materialize to the world - if there's anyway the fans can help in seeing it come to life, please let us know. And thanks again for the pics and the posts. And Nate, it would be great for Randy or Warren to give us an update if they can, it's been awfully quiet ( and yes I know you guys are a lil busy...haha) but we'd love to hear anything about what's going on with T3.

I know I am a grave digger but can someone reupload somewhere the screenshots from Deep Cover, the website from the above link does not work anymore. :erg:

Correct me if I'm wrong but last summer or the summer before someone came forward and released all these levels into this community? I'm nearly 100% that people found a way to load the resources into T2 as well.

Makes you wonder though, what else could be lurking on the fringes of LGS people's hard drives?
