Not-always-clear British accent
Get out.
Its Queen's English. You don't get clearer.

Hi, and welcome to a conversation with a person who is hard of hearing. In many cases, "hard of hearing" has to do with volume, where the sufferer cannot hear very quiet things. But in some cases, volume is not necessarily an issue and the problem is that of clarity, where even the most clear-speaking person can be almost unintelligible to the hard-of-hearing listener. This in addition to background noise, not being able to see the speaker's lips, among many other factors, can render listening to a speaker nigh-impossible.
Armed with this knowledge, you can now hold a conversation with a hard-of-hearing person and not look like a complete insensitive asshole!
This has been a message from the Shut The Fuck Up Foundation.

There's no such thing as a British accent anyways.

So not to do with clarity at all then.

Played korsakovia for around an hour. Seems to be quite buggy. At some points it started to play multiple lines of speech simultaneously which is a huge annoyance since, like in Dear Esther, the dialogue is the best part of the mod. The level design has been pretty boring and fastly done. It also turned a lot fucking harder rather than scarier very fast until it crashed.

You said the accent was not always clear, I challenged that, you retort with everything under the sun about being hard of hearing that is not related to lack of clarity and I'm the idiot?
I've got a lot of time for you dethtoll, but don't become another SD-like tool with a chip on his shoulder.

How hard is it for you to understand that the VO wasn't clear enough for me?
Seriously, just drop it.

I'm not sure how far I am (I played until the factory bit, which is when I stopped having any fun), but Korsakovia is a bit of a disappointment. Obviously it's janky as heck, but so was Esther and that didn't stop me from loving it. I just expected something a little more novel. I like the dialogue about eating eyeballs and all, but it lacks the poetry of DE, such as it was, and thus far I don't see the bit where this has much to do with experimental games research.
Is the experimentation just in the bit where you replace enemies with blobs of smoke, and occasionally blast some static noise, apparently to signify some sort of a memory glitch?
