Yeah, I saw that question on his blog. I'd certainly snap it up.

I'll wager the highway is in a flashback. Looks great but I'm now wondering if (:o) this isn't a little ott.

Also, dunno if any of you saw, but he's considering going retail with this. I can't argue with that.
I can. It's not even technically a game.

Well, here we come nicely to the limitations of labeling the entire gamut of interactive computer entertainment as 'games'. I'd pay for it, it's awesome. I couldn't give less of a shit about whether or not you technically 'play' it. Reckon the guy's got it in him to tackle Korsakovia as well? That could get properly mind-bending with this level of polish.

I agree. The original version was barely enjoyable even as a piece of interactive fiction (to borrow a term.) In spite of this version looking fucking fantastic, why would I pay for a remake of a non-game I didn't like?

I got the impression he did the big server bit, which was indeed great looking (as was all his stuff in the rest), but that and stormdrains (which he apparently did to) I found a bit meh gameplay wise is all
The stormdrains were an absolute highlight for me. Stepping into that first enormous area was one of the more breathtaking moments in all of Mirror's Edge. Gameplay-wise, it was... well, Mirror's Edge, wasn't it?

Wow. Perhaps I'm weird, but I really liked the original cave sections, they felt very captain 'cavey', very awkward for anything of a human scale. These look like (impressive) fantasy caves for having adventures and finding treasure chests in.
All the same, hope he bloody well hurries up and finishes. I'd pay a few pounds.

For some reason when I saw that name I thought it only refered to the above ground storm drain section ((

I don't know why I thought this. The rest is indeed awesome though.

That's exactly why the original caves sucked. In a not-game like this, where the only interactivity is to hike from one audio trigger to the next, it had damn well better make it clear to the player where they're supposed to go. If you read his blog, you'll see that this is a major theme running through his redesign effort.
And WTF does "they felt very captain" mean?
