From this point on D.E's environments become totally surreal. The caverns seem to go on for far too long, so I am wondering if he's going to shorten it up or just add more things to make it interesting.

I got the impression he did the big server bit, which was indeed great looking (as was all his stuff in the rest), but that and stormdrains (which he apparently did to) I found a bit meh gameplay wise is all
