Deadly Shadows Lagging Badly on XP 64-Bit

I installed Thief: Deadly Shadows on Windows XP 64-Bit and it lags really bad on most parts of the game. Why is this such a big deal? Well before I upgraded to 64-Bit, it ran really well on the 32-Bit XP using the same configuration.

Here's my specs:
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
AMD Sempron Processor 2600+, ~1.6GHz
1024MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c (As of March 2008)
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (With updates as of December 2007)

What do I do to make it run better?

Don't know if 64XP can be blamed for this completely, I played TDS on nearly the same configuration and 64XP as you and it was running beautifully.
