Apparently it's locked at 720p and has no controller support. That's sort of terrible. I guess it was done in-house by Jap devs not very familiar with deploying to a PC infrastructure, like From Software with Demon's Souls. Still, a little more effort, guys?

Will pick it up if it gets modded back to usefulness.

Man, I bought this sucker the other day. I had it for 360 a couple of years ago, I bought it solely because of henke's recommendation. I thought it was clunky as hell on a controller, and the PC would be a nightmare. Nope. It actually works pretty well on kb/m, runs fine, and is still a blast to play. It still looks like a PS2 game, but who cares.
I love the shortcut icon sitting on my desktop. Having the Raincoat Killer staring at me looking like a little, pixalated Jawa is just satisfying.

Deadly Premonition is discounted by a whopping 90% on Steam for the next 27 hours, bringing it down to a mere TWO FIDDY euros.
Has anyone tried it out with the latest version of the DPfix recently? How well does it run, and how does it stack up against the original 360/PS3 versions?

I love what I've played of the game so far, but after a certain point fairly early on, it just keeps crashing on me no matter what I try. DPfix, no DPfix, compatibility settings, nothing works :(

Yeh i bought this today TOTALLY ON HENKES REVIEW OF IT FROM A WHILE AGO, but it crashes on startup, no matter what insane fix I try, so DO NOT GET THE PC STEAM VERSION.
I blame henke, now he owes me USD 2.50.
