Just in case anyone's wondering, I can't use T3Ed until I upgrade my computer, so I'm just lurking again. I thought it was going to work because T3Ed loads, but doing almost anything crashes it.
I have no idea when I'll be able to afford an upgrade. :(

What specs do you have at the moment?

Brand-new Dell with an on-board Intel graphics chip and no AGP or PCIe slot. :(
(My wife bought it for Christmas.)

this is why you don't let your wife buy the computer (unless of course she's a super smart tech person, a la MsLedd)

The issue with the ATI card is intermittent (I have one of the affected ones) and can be avoided. T3Ed function should not be the deciding factor.

Exactly. Two extra clicks is hardly an effort.
Nvidia: Position. Subtract. Build All. Apply textures.
ATI: Position. Wireframe. Subtract. Build All. Textured View. Apply textures.

Do not buy a Geforce 5200, i read it performs even worse than a Geforce 4 MX card.
The 5700 is OK though.
