I tried. Maybe I am not the right person to do so, but I tried to get more activity. Yes there were some stalwart replies to my crap, but� Shit� I sense something was really special here� once. I was definitely not part of that. I get that. It's all OK. But, I do mourn the dying of the light. The loss. I am a person that gets choked up about what used to be, but no longer is. I rage against entropy. It just pisses me off that I seem to be 1 or 10 years behind. In this case 15 or so. For those that were part of the original cast, be really thankful that is existed. I sense friendships that will last a lifetime. I know for sure I am not in that group. That is acceptable to me. I was not there. I did not code with you or play the first games or make the first FMs. I get that. It's all cool. I just feel bad that so many are not posting anymore. It's the same with so many things in life. Death is a bitch. Not for my sake at all, but post more? If lurking, post more. If for no reason at all than to shut me up� post more? There are so many interesting people here. Don't go away. I do not know what is up with the weird fonts. I took this as a sign to upgrade to El Capitan (Mac). Wish me luck... please. I may need it. I have backups just in case, but, one never knows.

Hey bjack, I don't believe this place will ever be as vibrant as it once was but so what, make it different. Just post and see what happens.
Otherside Entertainment are working on Looking Glass games and you can bet your bottom dollar this place will liven up as soon as the first release is out there.

Yeah, man shit is going to hit the fan once the new UU and System Shock stuff starts to appear. The problem this place has is that it is fundamentally based on discussion of the output of a games studio that hasn't existed for 16 YEARS. The fact it remained a pretty buzzy place for nearly a decade since LG closed their doors is testament to both the ridiculous quality of their games, and that they attracted exactly the kind of snooty pseudo-intellectual prats who will argue something to death for an entire decade. But you can't make do on memories and comparisons forever. Once there is new meat in the grinder, this place will get creaking again.

I'm hugely in favor of seeing more activity here, but even with that, I'm unable to post in every thread created, especially if I've nothing to say. We're all older, we have more commitments, and inevitably TTLG gets my leftover time. People will come, it will get better, but it wont' happen in a week and no amount of new threads created will change that. I say, be patient, wait for these new releases (as Med and Viv said), and you'll see this place jumping again for a bit. My main focus is to be ready when that happens, and not let the assholes chase any new members or posters away with bullshit hazing rituals and snarkiness (except of course for the traditional Alarus Extension/Bow Upgrade thing because it's a cosmic necessity).
