No no no. They hug trees so they act as a soft buffer between the tree and the car.

What's the deal with nice houses, they're just places to store your meat suit.

Bad analogy. Nice houses are like houses, but nice. Performance cars are like cars, but (even more?) rubbish. Everything in life is made of sacrifices - DB9s are no exception - they dump all the stuff you can use for silly performance that you can't. Unless you get to bomb around on a track, performance cars suck quite spectacularly at being cars - and they cost lots to buy and fantastic amounts to keep running and under the big old lie of sportiness you get to sit on your arse, get fat and work on a coronary event; which makes people who buy performance cars at least five different kinds of stupid. I can think of others.

You're really missing the point.

By god, I want my drivers licence. Third time lucky maybe. I want the unbridled joy to be "ogled and drive hard"
AMB DB9 is sweet!

Isn't this entire thread about a guy bombing around a track with other performance cars?
And judging by this post I take it you've never actually raced a car.

I think it's pretty obvious he's referring to people who actually buy these cars thinking they're a good thing to use for general transportation.

Well sure but why complain in a thread about a using a performance car for the purpose of high performance?
