Daymare: 1998 - RE2 fan remake reborn as original IP game

That (http://www.pcgamer.com/resident-evil-2-reborn-is-a-fan-made-remaster-in-unreal-engine-4/) RE2 fan remake from a while was announced to be (http://www.gameplanet.co.nz/news/g57d8a90311452/) reworked into an original IP game.

Invader Studios is currently doing a Kickstarter to raise funds to develop Daymare: 1998.

The first extended gameplay footage was dropped this past December.

I like the immersive "fade-in" HUD, great for atmospheric games like these. I'm mixed on the RE4-esque tank controls and no moving and shooting gameplay however, even RE had completely moved away from that with RE6.

So this is a remake, of an old game but with a new engine? I totally missed that game, back in the day

I only ever played the demo of RE2 back then. Loved RE4 tho. Not quite enthusiastic enough to chip in to the KS, but I might pick this up some way down the line, if it turns out to be good.

RE2 is excellent. I like the first game more personally, but RE2 certainly has a bigger scope to it all. Plus it has the Tyrant.
