If you're going to get the cat sterilised and it's a female cat, make sure they do the incision-from-the-side method. Because if they do it at the abdomen, it might well leave her with a sagged tummy, due to the way a cat's skin is only loosely attached to the body.

We had several female cats at various times, all which lived to be middle-aged and older. They all ended up with very saggy bellies after being spayed. The oldest kitty's belly eventually sagged loosely enough that she would accidentally step on it when preparing for a jump and experience a painful and embarrassing surprise.:(

Apparently the sideway method is slightly more complicated and sometimes costs a bit more. I'd say it's worth it though. My Charlie had the belly cut because I didn't know better. It's not that bad, but yeah...
