I'll mark myself cautiously interested, but I'm not sure I'll get to play (life is going to get VERY busy before too long).
Am I the only one here who preferred the first Darksiders game?

I did as well, but only marginally. Mostly just because of too much random item management in the second :-|

I really hope they move it back toward the Zelda-like of the first game. The attempts to RPG it up in the second were a really bad idea.
Unfortunately, looking at the employee list for Gunfire Games, it looks like at the highest level it's the same unfocused decision makers from Vigil who made Darksiders II's development such a nightmare.

My preference is because I thought the first game did a much better job of worldbuilding than the second one did.
