Somehow I got thief 2 working fairly easily on windows 7, but i seem to be having some darkloader issues. When I try to play a mission through dark loader it goes straight to the original thief2 game. I'll play around with it a bit, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Compatibility mode, actually works with windows 7. This is turning out to be a lot easier to tweak for older games than vista.
I spoke too soon, yet another windows 7 problem. The game locks up after a bit, which I figured was due to the dual core processor. I've been able to get thief working previously with dual cores by setting the affinity to just one, windows 7 is being a chump though and says access denied when i try to set the affinity for thief 2.
Created a dump file, now it works.

I run W7-64bit and by using the normal multi-core fixes for Thief TG,2 I have not had any problems.
I use the imagecfg affinity solution, made up files for T1,2 and keep them around in case a re-install is needed.
As to Darkloader, no real problems other than me trying to use it both in XP and W7, but otherwise no problems.
The harder thing for me was getting the graphics looking ok, I have an ATI HD 4650 card, it took a couple of trys to get things ok.
But, T3 is another thing, I can not get the nocd hack to work, whereas the nocd hacks work fine on T1/2. I just run T3 under XP.
