Beats my method. I basically ran into the inn, hacked her to pieces, and ran through the night to the Imperial City, keeping off the main roads for fear of guards, and got to Armand to pay off my bounty.
I certainly like to do things the hard way, but I did get that great fugitive on the run feeling :D

I found him in the basement of his own house when I came in late at night to buy skuma needed to get closer to Baelin.... He was dead, and when I exited to find Baelin again, to maybe kill him some other way, I just couldn't find him anywhere... What I'm curious about is:
1. Is it a part of a quest, the death of skuma seller?
2. Can I kill Baelin on public without waking the guards?
Thanks!

The skooma seller is in Bravil. You can find him in the ally next to Silver Home on The Water late at night. Some other possible skooma sources:
- Skooma addicts in Bravil (probably have to kill 'em to get it)
- Skooma smugglers near Leyawiin (associated with a side quest)
- Aboard one of the ships in the game (can't remember which one)
- Trenus Duronius' home in the Imperial City

I think I recall grabbing a bottle of skooma from a dining table in a guard tower once, too.
EDIT: and the ship might well be from the 'Ghost Ship of Anvil' quest.

Trenus Duronius was the one marked with a marker... Anyway, I ended that quest, killing Baelin on public. Though no one had seen it, the bonus was forfeit.

I just spoke to the chick upstairs that pays for him, found out where he usually goes (It's an abandoned house with a the house owner murdered in the basement) and killed him there. Got the bonus too. There's skooma on the table here as well, which you can steal and give to him. I didn't bother though. As long as he's in the house, you can kill him.

I know. I was expecting him to go there. For a very long time. An hour maybe (don't lough), but all he does is walking about elven gardens district and telling me I can't sneak on people like that =)...

Use the "wait" option. Hide somewhere and wait for 1 hour. Keep doing that till he arrives.

I don't really think it'll work - I spent about two days in that place....
Anyways, I got bored stickimg in there and went to Bravil to visit another seller of skooma - Nordinor. I came
late at night just as was asked, but he wouldn't sell anything. Anything at all...:(
EDIT: VERY FUNNY
For some uknknown but very,- I am sure - very good reason 3.00 a.m
is a more "late night" than 1.15 a.m. or at least that was how it all went in that drugdealer's head, for he didn't bother to say a word about notorious skooma till 3 o'clock in the morning!
