Out of curiosity, is there anyway to NOT get caught killing the daughter that serves as a city guard? I've snuck in her room and killed her, killed her when she was seemingly out-of-sight in a garden, and both times I've been caught. :confused:

There is a way to avoid joining to jail, but you need to finish the Thieves Guild quests first:D

Long-distance death is your friend. I simply waited until she was alone in a corner section of town, then put an arrow into her. No fuss, no muss, and most important, no witnesses. It took some fooling around to find the right position and timing for a good kill, but it wasn't really all that difficult.

get recomendations to the arcane university and a cameleon spell then 5 grand soul gems and 5 pieces of armor enchant the armor with chameleon and then you'll be invisible and can do anything without being caught but there is a flaw. some monsters are able to see you and they will do damage but not as much as if you were visible

There weren't any witnesses when I killed her in her room, either. That's what gets me. No one saw me do it yet somehow the guards knew what I did.

She's a member of the city guard, therefore she counts as one of them. You hit her, she gets the 40 gold bounty.
Just talk to her and tell her about her mother or something, IIRC, that makes her able to be killed on the streets without too many issues.

I've had good luck with the good old poisoned apple trick. Pick her pocket, stick one in her inventory, then follow her around to see when she eats it (literally and figuratively). You could also hit her with a frenzy spell and let the other guards kill her for you.

i found 2 easy ways
1) talk to her, tell her you want her dead and attack her with a poisoned blade after she lashes out at you, and make sure she dies of the poison, not an actual attack
2) If this doesnt work theres a much more efficient option: simply use a frenzy spell on her and defend yourself =]
