...and I kinda miss them!
My character is Level 16 right now, and I've spoken with whatshisface in Ebonheart, but haven't spoken to the
teleportation girl
yet.
Since then, I haven't been attacked by an assassin once. This was weeks and levels ago in the game, and I'm curious if this is normal?
Maybe I should really start that sidequest now...

Interesting, have you got any other plugins with MW?
On Super Adventures Mod, they come in less random and i think it only 9 times then it stop coming. On this plugin you have more than assassins, bandits, rogues, etcs. coming after you in varies places even in villages/towns. They usually come out at night, beware there alot of them in Vivec. That brings old memories of Daggerfall, wish i missed so much.

Yes I have a bunch of other plugins installed, but I don't think any of them are affecting this, as I created another little new test character and was attacked almost instantly upon sleeping outside of town.
Maybe I've triggered some sort of interim script?

Sleeping outside of village/town, sure hope you not too close. The guards will come after you.
Well on some plugins may have some details, and noticed some of them they dont always put in a readme.txt file. Kinda annoying when they do that and not knowing what was added to the game.
There a plugin you can download, i think its a campfire kit. So when you planning on resting it throw out campfire, a tent and a bunch of toys on the ground AND i think it doesnt disturb you when resting. So you can rest all you want to regain your magickas and life back.
All i can say is its random when you rest, based on Luck too i believe. I remember resting outside for 5 times (other 6 levels) when leveling nothing came.

It's normal, I think. Once you speak to the person in Ebonheart, all attacks stop. ... I think.

Oh cool, ok. Thanks :)

I usually let them come (as many as possible) i remember last year my char was around lvl 17+ i had three assassins on me at once and they all were using Deadric Weapons, Oh mine at least i killed them all and earn the prize.
Those Deadrics are valuable, so why would you want to end it? Yes the fights is tough only if you know what you are doing. Most strategy would be trying to find a sweet spot for an ambush and figure out how to deal with them IF they came.
I always look ahead, or make plans before the combat occur.
Most i ever seen is three assassins at once, nothing more. Was a bloody fight tho.

You can endlessly spawn more DB assassins anyway just by re-visiting their headquarters beneath Mournhold.

Oh, I didn't actually want to stop the assassins, I just wanted to make sure that this was supposed to happen and I hadn't borked the game.
Thanks to all who replied. :)
