I just did the mission for the moonmoth champion, the one where you kill everybody in the council club. Since I had 5000 bounty by the end I just used Divyne intervention to transport my self to the gates of moonmoth. When I appeared the two nearest guards attacked me. I ran into the fort and the champion took care of my bounty but the two guards still attack me. Worse than that is that some of the purple clad guards in various parts of Morrowind attack me on sight even though my bounty is just 5. Can I fix this?

Hmm, you could re-do it and scoff an invisibility potion before you teleport.
Or have you tried getting your bounty removed through the thieves guild?

You mean scoff a chameleon potion. If you're invisible, casting a spell will cause you to become visible again ^.^

I've had the same problem. The thing that works best here is to make a Mark spell inside the fort, and then cast a Recall spell after you've done the dirty work, so that the bounty gets lifted from you before any guards see you.
Otherwise, you can search the form for a cheat command that removes the guards hostility flag.

Sadly I've gone to far past that point to redo it all over again. I might have to try the cheat command. Anyone Know one?

open the console (~)
click on the guard
type stopcombat
type setfight 0
repeat with any guards attacking you
