Quote:
COLLINSVILLE, Illinois - Pranksters in at least three states are messing with electronic road signs meant to warn motorists of possible traffic problems by putting drivers on notice about Nazi zombies and raptors. And highway safety officials aren't amused.
(
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29017293/?GT1=43001) Pranksters post funny road signs to electronic info signs.

Wow, again? That same thing happened (

Yeah, but the thing is they are there to warn passerby, so I don't think it would be too funny if someone got hurt. But, nobody did, and it happened at a time/place where it was not too important. But I got a bit of a smile from it too. And I wouldn't say "pranksters" I would say one guy who knew how to hack those things.

That article got stranger and stranger as it went on.
But then, I might read local news more often if stories about road sign pranksters rambled around until they ended with "Do you have a zombie escape plan? Let us know what you think about zombies by participating in our message board."

I predict this turning up as a plot element in CSI: New York.
[edit] Wow, I just watched the trailer for Dead Snow that was linked to on that article sneaksie linked to, and it looks like a combination of Evil Dead and the long-delayed (
http://www.gorehoundinc.com/) Worst Case Scenario. Will have to see it.

I just saw that Dead Snow trailer. It looks horrendously bad.
But then it's a Norwegian film, so no surprise there.

Yep saw that one on the web news, pretty fun if some teen took it for real and started speeding and screaming "ZOMBIES!!!".

In the UK, when there are no hazards, we have to put up with "Don't Drink and Drive" being displayed on just about every electronic overhead motorway sign, like it's going to convince the one idiot tooling down the outside lane after 8 pints that it might actually be a bad idea :weird:

I heard about this a little while ago, but I never saw any pictures until now. I live right next to a branch of a major interstate which uses these signs to indicate an open or closed shoulder, and I drive on it five days out of the week. I'm just waiting for the day when this sort of thing happens here. :p

Heh, well, at least they can't say they weren't warned. :p

I suppose it has something to do with Dead Rising 2 announcement.
