GOG just released a free remaster of Daggerfall that works out of the box (i.e. a custom build of a source port). No tinkering necessary.

I have been playing this for a while, even before the release. Its really very good, and the only way to experience Daggerfall these days.

Can't say I like the visual mods shown on the store page, but I guess it's good there's an out of the box version available. Will probably just install Daggerfall Unity manually though.

I'll have to get on this one. I recall the hoops to get Daggerfall running on DosBox. It's a game where i got through a fair amount of the main plot but put aside and never got back to.
