hi all
Daedric Wakizashi:
Short Blade - One Handed
Chop: 10-30
Slash: 10-25
Thrust: 7-11
Ebony Shortsword:
Short Blade - One Handed
Chop: 10-20
Slash: 10-22
Thrust: 15-25
i've got both of these and i charge my weapon (by holding the mouse button for some time) before attacking. that should make the upper-bound damage written in the weapon specs, and also "always use best attack" is active. in that case, DW should do 30 damage while ES should do 25 damage. but ES does almost twice the damage DW does. not only ES but also some other blades with less attack rating than DW does more damage than DW. can someone please explain this to me?
secondly, i want to know what the difficulty slider in the game exactly do? makes you more vulnerable? increases the health and attack rating of your opponents?
(i had had lots of questions about this game in my mind but right now i cant remember any of them except this two :))
thanks in advance

Daedric. Nuff said.
About the damage ratings, it is determined on many different things, not just the weapon. A damaged weapon will do less damage than the same one which is at full repair level. Also your status at time of use - strength, movement, etc all has an effect on the weapon. Not all enemies are exactly the same either, I've hit 1 cliff racer and killed it in 2 hits and the one right after it in 4!
Use whatever suits your style and try playing without best atack on, cos its more fun :D
side note - daedric looks cooler, so there :p

that was a good thread! does this forum sticky some threads cos that one answers a lot of questions about enchanting weapons, something which everyone likes to do :D
Although I've yet to make/see a weapon as cool as Truflame. I spent hours just running about town wavin my sword (although the authorities didnt seem pleased with dozens of dead and injured people strewn over Mournhold :( )
