Ok I know some people hate these threads so please ignore me if it winds you up but if someone could give me some suggestions as to where I might find a daedric battle axe (the two handed axe) I'd appreciate it.
I have some free time at the moment while my stronghold is being built so I thought I'd take a break from my house quests and do some updating of my armour and weapons.
Oh and I know about the trick with Dremora but all the ones I've encountered only have dwemer artefacts at the moment so it's a case of finding an axe in a dungeon or something.
I've heard that I might find one in the following places - “Ibar dad” and “Ald Sotha” - can anyone confirm these possible locations for me and give me a bit more detailed information on the the axe's location.
Thanks :D

Hey, wait a sec, now... you were just expounding upon the merits of the Daedric battle axe and making it sound like you were speaking from experience over here in this thread:
(
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53130&highlight=battle+axe) What is the best weapon you are using?
What gives? ;)
Edit: Btw, Ibar-Dad is just west of the Daedric shrine "Assurnabitashpi", which is just west of the Urshilaku camp. It's facing NW, in the middle of a pile of boulders.

Red,
Go to a daedric shrine, save ...then steal any objects you see. the daedric lords normally carry pretty nice gear. If you dont find the axe you are looking for just reload and try again. So far I have 4 claymores, 3 spears, a dai-katanna or 2, an axe hammer and to many daggers to count.

djflip: Perhaps you missed it, but Red did say (in his 3rd paragraph) that he'd tried that; NPCs and critters have semi-random eq, based on the player's level, and Dremora Lords (the real name for the critter you're referring to) are no exception to this. You have to be at least 17th lvl to get a Daedric battle axe using the trick you mention.

I just conjour myself an axe if need be. saves on weight too...

"The deadric Battle Axe is also very nice if a bit slow but I'm not complaining to much considering it has a base attack of 80..."
Yes i did say this but I really meant the 'bound' daedric battle axe which I have been using so far to great affect. ;)
I fancy a normal permanent version of the axe so i can try out some enchantments.
Sharp eyes Forsythe. :D
I've heard rumours that i kind find one in a cave or maze or something which you get the key to after talking to a drunk in a corner club in Vivec (after you give him some mazet (sp)).
Does this jog anyone's memories?

Ahhh, okay; that did puzzle me ;)
As to where to find one, Ibar-Dad does have one just lying around; see above for the location of Ibar-Dad. And as for the drunk Nord in that cornerclub, I haven't done his quest but someone on here said the axe in question wasn't anything special (essentially its enchantment was the equivalent of a sparksword's or somesuch was my impression).

The legendary 'Stormkiss' with an awesome highest damage of 1-30 and 1-25 lightning damage (and it's twohanded) isn't the true loot in that dungeon, there are some ebony items, a daedric helmet (hidden on a ledge) and some other useful stuff in the room. Ennbjof (the old guy with the key) is in The Lizard's Head (Telvanni canton in Vivec), buy a bottle of matze and ask him about latest rumors (his only topic).

lol yes 'Stormkiss' sounds like it really is worth the effort...not...thanks for the help guys. ;)
