I have heard that if you join the Telvani Mage Guild and go see Mistress Therana in Tel Branora that she will give you a quest and after completing the quest she will give you an enchanted Daedric curiass and greaves. I joined and went to go see her but she just keeps babbling on and there's no options for any kind of quests. I should mention that I've finished the main quest already if that makes any kind of difference. Or is this whole story bs?

Here is your solution
[SPOILER]Asking Therana about "chores" will net you some fairly insane ramblings about Auriel's Bow and that it smells like ash yams. Asking her about Auriel's Bow does no good, so ask her about ash yams.
Interpreting her insane drivel, you find that "Ralyn Othravel" at Ghostgate has Auriel's Bow.
Go there (he's in the Tower of Dawn) and either steal it from him, get him to attack you, or ask him about it repeatedly until he attacks you. You'll end up with the bow in any case.
Report back to Therana.

What you do next is important.
[SPOILER]Reward: At one point after you return the bow, Therana will ask you a Yes/No question:
11,111 gold from Therana if you say 'No'.
A Daedric Cuirass and Daedric Greaves (each w/ a 'constant effect' 50 pt feather) from Therana, if you say 'Yes'.

My memory is a little fuzzy but I'm pretty sure "chores" :confused: wasn't even on the menu nor anything about yams or bows, if it was I'm pretty sure I'd have figured it out. I'll give it another try though.
