What happens if some or none of the cyberspace missions is completed in whole or part? How does this affect the end game, namely, killing Shodan? pukey

Well, for starters you might reach the final battle with SHODAN (which takes place in Cyberspace) severely underpowered, and this could make it extremely difficult do finish the game. You'll definitely want to face SHODAN with the highest possible Pulser or Cybershield version.
Also, in Cyberspace you can unlock doors, get security access cards, and find lots of information that will be useful in the outside world.

Thank you D'Arcy: I thought this might be the situation. In my first go round I did so poorly that when I reached Terminal F on Level 6 my time was already down to 2 minutes 50 seconds and the first room was loaded with bad guys. I'll do my best to at least try to get improved Pulser and Cybershields both of which are version 3; and the others you mention. All the best. pukey

Don't worry about hunting down Pulser versions purely for the SHODAN fight - the bridge cyberjack entry point hands you a high version on a plate. At least it did on my last few difficulty 0 speedruns

Thanks AxTing1: I hope it will work for me because I'm playing difficulty 2, Normal. I'll sure look for it when I get there. pukey
