The matlib wouldn't import the textures unless T3Ed knew where the textures were.

How do I alter the properties of the textures though? I want to make a non-climable texture climbable.

SE: you can't alter the material properties without the use of max. BUT now you can take a non-climbable texture (and the associated normal) and then copy them over an appropriate texture in custom_textures (ie, Stoneclimb01_N and Stoneclimb01_D) and away you go. Hope that makes sense.
