Picture this,

I'm playing DX:IW last night, just about to smack the Omar around a bit when *pop* my pc hard reboots, with the vague flicker of a blue screen. I wait for my PC to restart, but it doesnt, just sits there. Pop open the case and the diagnostic LEDs are all red - not a good sign. After much fiddling and cursing I realise that I've just blown my CPU :mad:

I blame DX:IW; You owe me a new CPU Spector... :grr:

(yes, yes, I know it had nothing to do with DX:IW, I'm just venting spleen at the unnecessary expense of it all...) :(

ouch. overclocking? dirty fan grills? live in the tropics?
or just suicidal hardware?

It took one look at the code and felt it just couldn't go on being party to such a travesty.

(Now if this had happened just as you were completing Tong's ending of the original game... THAT would have been SO cool ;))

yeah the game shouldve changed your default home page to a fake "server not found error error error internet explorer will now shut down" thing next time you conencted to the internet.

would scare some people im sure

Well, there's some good to come of it... at least my old PC still runs Deus Ex and System Shock 2...
