Listening to Nala Sinephro's new album, which is insanely good. I'm not sure how I hadn't heard her first album either but they're both great.

I didn't really get into hiphop until I was in my 20's (late 90's) and didn't really deep dive into it until maybe 10 years ago, so there is a lot of classic "new school" that I've never owned. Picked this album up a few weeks ago and can't stop blasting it in my car. Great early 1990-ish NYC sample flipping and some of the best lyrics I've ever heard.

Oh, that's a classic. If you're interested in mash-ups (as I suspect you are), there's a pretty great one called Wugazi that slams Fugazi into the Clan. Very old, but pretty listenable still, IMO. Here's one of the cuts:
