I'll be damned. He did it again. A bullseye. No wonder I named my cat after him.

Listening to the new Jesus and Mary Chain song. And it's actually good! Which is surprising to me, because I hate when old rockstars try to make music like they did in their 20's (i.e. when they still had ideas), but this just sounds like JAMC if they were a contemporary band.

J'approuve. Low make some of the best Mormon music known to mankind.

That's pretty awesome, thanks for sharing it.

Yeah, that's really good. Imma look her up.
I found out that Mimi Parker from Low passed away last year just after I posted my appreciation upthread, which means Low no longer exists. Man, that hurts. Rest in peace, Mimi.
This is the song that introduced me to them, and thankfully it was through a random Youtube thumbnail, not a mediocre TV show or whatever:

Low were so good. I discovered them via this compilation (1995, holy shit I'm old) and their cover was so much better than everything else I just gobbled up everything I could find by them. I prefer the records they did with Kramer and later with Albini (which is what Sunflower is from), but all of it is really so good even when they started really experimenting with their style later. And they were such good people.
