I met Dit today for lunch at Oby's in Oxford. He always calls and arranges things when he is in town to see his mom. A good old friend. We said the usual things and hashed over the usual memories but there is always something you have forgotten that they remember. We promised to get together again soon. Grand plans. To stay with him when we finally head out to see the Grand Canyon. It's on the way. Who knows? I want to see Artemis one take off first. I've never been there to see a rocket take off at Canaveral and this is the first of the missions to take us to Mars. I want that to happen. I want to feel hope for mankind. I want to leave knowing we can surpass our worst nature. They say you can feel the rumble in your whole body. I want to feel that too.

Anyway, I agree with every word of this song.

Yes, not something I’d have normally watched and I knew nothing about them. But following your comments, I somehow got caught up delving into the (https://www.wideopencountry.com/the-touching-story-behind-joey-rorys-song-when-im-gone/) background. If I read correctly, their friend at the piano wrote the song (to her own Mother) and the video was unknowingly prophetic by four years about Joey and Rory.

Watching this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPUNpPIvZwQ) interview of how Joey had more-or-less chased him (the older man) you think, “Wow … what a very lucky guy!!!”
