The music to this scene in remembrance of Ennio Morricone, who just passed away.
It takes a legendary composer to draw mystery, tension, and drama out of a scene where the actors are largely just staring at each other.

The great opening scene from The Hateful Eight - nature is beautiful, but it can also kill you - with the music by Ennio Morricone that sets the mood perfectly. Rest In Peace Maestro Morricone!

This is always going to be one of the most amazing pieces of music I've ever heard, and I knew it the moment I heard it in the movie when I was all of 8 years old.

Rest in peace, Ennio.

Yeah that is timeless, Metallica always opens their concerts with this, so I've been told.
This is my favorite music/scene of the classic Morricone-scored Western movies: the climax (and reveal of what the harmonica was all about, so spoiler alert I guess) of Once Upon A Time In The West.

Because they are laying him in a hole today and because it was an anthem for some of us back in the day.

I haven't listened to The Field in a long while, but just now I randomly got reminded, did a quick search on YouTube, and found a live version of an old favourite:

I have it on CD, but hardly play CDs any more.
