Current song you are listening to(or the Last song you listened to) - by Andarthiel

Well it was late in their career and not so much industrial noise any more, only the occasional power drill and angle grinder. But it was quite a spectacle.
I discovered Kroumata through both my brothers; the older one was living in Stockholm at the time just around the corner from where they'd often play, and the younger one is a drummer, so they both told me I need to go see them. They also did the music for some theatre play I saw, perhaps Shakespeare or something, I forget, I was too keen on the girl I was with to pay enough attention.
Fun to hear that Nirvana cover again, not heard it for ages.

All this talk of old rock festivals I used to to go, two bands seemed to be at every single one.
S.P.O.C.K

and more importantly,
Covenant

I've probably seen both bands some 15-odd times. Good times. Seeing Covenant in Glasgow a couple of years ago was just pure bliss. I waved my Swedish flag like an idiot, just to let them know there was a countryman in the audience. I think Eskil noticed, he pointed at it. I wanted them to feel welcome, but the locals beat me to it by going massively wild for their songs.

Nobody beats The B52's channeling Devo for danceable weird.

I dreamt about this song again last night. It evokes memories of my teenage years, when this song was already old.

It's quite a long song and you have to give it up for the girls making all those noises. Lovely crazy. I only recalled it because I heard it playing in the background of the sex scene in "Knocked Up".
You must have strange dreams. Lucky you.
Here is Rival Sons playing "Electric Man". Often they sound like Led Zeppelin but not so much on this one.

This, I like.
[Edit]
I often dream about music. Sometimes Devo, or They Might Be Giants, or whatever noisy crap I was listening to recently. But I hear songs in my dreams. Maybe that's not normal.

The BEST

That brings me back to my heavy metal years, in a decade far, far away. Don't think I've ever heard a full song in latin, that was quite interesting. Det är alltid intressant när något oväntat händer.

Japp det är det :)

Yeah, I had a phase in the late nineties when I liked Lords of Acid, who, despite the name, were not really acid rock. Latin seems to go with that sort of dramatic metal though. It reminded me of some of the "Conan the Barbarian" soundtrack.
Here is another Rival Sons. Tell me that drummer doesn't sound like Bonham.

Today would have been her birthday.
She loved Eels. They're playing here next week. I don't know if I can go, just thinking about it makes me cry too hard. I pimped them to her, she loved it. So much is about cancer and death. I'd love to see them but can I actually be there without breaking down in tears..? They played here last summer, but it was too close to the funeral, and I just could not see myself surviving it.

[Edit]
At 9:30 this morning, I was standing in a crematorium memorial garden, talking to a tree, where my wife's ashes were scattered, emptying a hipflask of her favourite whisky. Flowers. Card. Shoes slowly sinking into the great big Scottish mud. You know you're strange when you speak to a tree in a language it wasn't brought up in and is unlikely to understand. I even planted a tiny Swedish flag next to the flowers. I've had a very weird day.
[Edit again]
Well, I caved in and bought a ticket for Eels. One ticket. I just wish it would be two tickets instead.
[Edit yet again]
For those who don't yet know it, there's a button when you post labelled "Insert Video". I did not know this myself until I had it explained to me. I had to ask and I felt like an old relic of ages past. Which I am. I'm looking at you, Errol, learn from my mistakes.
[...and yet another edit, because I suck at doing things in one go.]
Tocky, I'm yet again impressed that you know of Lords of Acid, I didn't think many others had heard of them. Maybe that's just my own arrogant elitist stupid head, they're obviously popular enough to have made it across oceans and decades. One day you and I need to sit down with a bottle of cheap whisky and talk about nothing but music.
