That Sugababes track was good though. Good pop.
That is a perfectly valid opinion to have, as long as you know you're very severely wrong.

I didn't think anyone could make a car alarm sound good. That's a bit of alright right there.
In honor of seeing fett post I present a song from THE BEST My Chemical Romance album THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE. Yes, yes it is, and you won't even see this to disagree with me this time.

The car alarm thing is clever but I can't listen to it for very long.
Considering Gray's mention of loud shouty music I usually turn to Meshuggah for the same reasons. Not everyone's cup of tea but their unusual rhythms reflect my general feeling of being out of step with the world. I've listened to Electric Red here possibly thousands of times. The words reflect my very cynical pessimistic moments too.

I do like the asynchronous (is that a word?) rhythms but the cookie monster voice seems a bad fit. It fits much better with this-

Ha, that Batmetal video made made me smile. Though I'd say Meshuggah's vocalist has more of a raspy screamed whisper. Asynchronous rhythms make sense although they're usually called polyrhythms. The most obvious thing you can hear in Electric Red is that it goes 7/8 + 7/8 + 7/8 + 7/8 + 4/8 to fit into four bars of 4/4 and it gets even more complicated from there on. But I only know that because I really wanted to know what was going on and transcribed some of the riffs.
Opeth's lead singer has more of the cookie monster going on, but he also does have pleasant clean vocals.
