Wait. Why are all my embeds so big now with the new computer? They used to be regular size.
Best thing to do is to just use the video icon in the toolbar and paste the link to the video rather than using one of the embedding codes from YouTube.

Got a request. Can anybody recommend some ambient music suitable as background music while concentrating at work? I've got a bunch of ambient electronica (Aphex Twin and the like), house (The Orb etc.), some chill-out and downtempo, but I'm finding that stuff with a prominent beat can be a little too distracting sometimes when I'm trying to think. The early Brian Eno stuff is perfect, but I'm not sure what else is like that.
Not exactly ambient, but some of Pink Floyd's early albums also work for me.

Not ambient, but jazz works for me:

Recently, I had this stream playing, for example:
And there are a ton of sites and videos that mix rain sounds with smooth relaxing music:

I like
Long Ambients1. Calm: Sleep by Moby. It's very minimal and won't steal too much of your focus while working, it's perfect for the background. Even more minimal, but more on the classical end of the spectrum is the very, very long album
Sleep by Max Richter. You can find this stuff on Spotify.

I've mentioned him before - Steve Roach's long ambient tracks can last over an hour and I use these a lot. Soul Tones is 45 mins and pretty airy, Bloodmoon Rising Night 1 is darker but more of a droning piece for blocking out background noise. Those are some examples but you can play a number of his almums on his bandcamp site.

By the way Tocky, how sexy is a woman who can play bass like this? I guess blues could be sexier depending on the mood.

I've been listening to Nigel Stanford as background music recently - not sure if it's the "right sort" of ambient but it happens to work for me:

Might be too rhythmic for you, and it's not really ambient either (more like hypnotic jazz), but I love Nik Bärtsch's Ronin.

Some more great rhythmic hypnosis. I love this kind of stuff for working.
