He played with poison in their "post-grunge" period. Very fine guitarist.

Fuck I just love the bluesy feel he gives shit. Something about him reminds me of Clutch only he is more right to the damn heart somehow. In that spirit I want to post this by The Drop Kick Murphy's which goes right to my heart and if I ever get the chance to punch a rich fucker like Trump in the mouth you will see me on the news folks. I'm drunk on a Sunday night fucksake after a wonderful weekend with my grands and that just makes me want to punch those fuckers worse because they don't give a damn about humanity and what it means to have it.

Paganini's Caprice #5... sort of. There was some Eddie Van Halen in there somewhere. Very nearly Eruption at one point. Shades of Steve Vai too. Ah. The Crossroads duel. Got to post it now.

John 5 did a cool homage to Aurora's monster models. Shit if they are old enough to recall those then they are old.

In this post I am going to mention the phrase "happy hardcore" several times, just so you all know beforehand.
I'm still awake thanks to happy hardcore; it's such a ridiculously upbeat genre, but, eh, it works: it seems to turn off just the right part of my brain allowing me to superfocus on the work I do at the moment. Just a shame there are so many really crappy mixes on the tube touching more on pop (or even moving into sleezy country territory (country hardcore is not a genre, okay!?)) than actual hardcore. Plain hardcore/gabber is better in that regard, because I guess it's harder to turn that into pop (the 4-letter word count is so high that the words eventually lose all value and meaning), and also works as music to both superfocus and stay awake to.
It seems like the new shit wants to be pop more than anything else (unlike the old shit), but here's one of the better newer mixes (it is very pink, so if you're sensitive to that, maybe go hide somewhere before you click):

Anyway, I guess this is my version of drunk posting, so I should probably go to bed now.

LOL hardcore popped my cherry. How can you not like that? Very techno. Bubbly dance stuff. Thanks qolelis.
Sort of the opposite direction but I consider this to be the sexiest song I know.

You're welcome, and, yeah, "bubbly" is a good choice of word. I could also add that if one were to compare it with Meshuggah it's like being run over in both cases, but in one case it's by a Panzerwagen with complex hood ornaments -- which you cannot but admire as you go down -- and in the other a massive pink pillow fort (I let you guess which is which). The respective energies are pretty different, though.
So, anyway, I'm listening to a lot of techno right now, mostly mixes from the tube, like (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRIZWnWhsxQ) Klanglos or (
https://youtu.be/JAOMywE3XM0) acid Klanglos. Every genre has its time, but, for me, techno works better than anything else right now (be it acid, hardcore, deep or whatever, so long as it's hard hittin' and got a steady beat). It's not the kind of music you sit and analyze while scratching your virtual intellect, but music you get shit done to. The higher the bpm, the better -- so long as we don't move into other genres like (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_VEQwWEicg) speedcore (this one is surprisingly slow, though), which might actually be a little too fast at this point in time, buuut now I'm of course going to listen to that for the remainder of this fine evenin'.
Edit:
Moving into rock now, though, with Norwegian
Madrugada, which actually fits my mood better today while also taking a break:

According to legend, one of the members was still holding his guitar when found dead in his apartment. The same guy also looked a little like Bruno K. Öijer, which is always a plus in my book.

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet but it was the song played on The Walking Dead when T Dog died. Such a sad sweet piece.
