the ridiculous prices that Steam charges for new games.
So true. And even a game has been out several weeks or months, after the price on Amazon and other online retailers has dropped from $60 down to $30 or $40, there it is on Steam, still at $60. I have to think they're really missing the boat there on people (like me) who rarely buy games on release day.

They make up for it by practically giving the things away every other weekend.

Do they really have sales on new stuff (say, games released less than 3 months ago)? If so, I guess I'm just not paying attention or checking the store often enough, because I haven't seen it.

Not really. I have never, ever seen a sub-90 day game go on sale.

and in the case of TW2 I preordered the GOG for use and the premium for the artbook as well.
Is there any artbook in Premium Edition?
I am thinking about buying Collector's Edition just for that one reason: THE ARTBOOK. I wish there was one in PE. It would save me a lot of money.

Nope, sorry :(
Physical artbook book in the CE, digital version with GoG.

Collector's Editions are being sent right NOW :D

I'm tapping my fingers on my desk waiting for the 17th to come around already.
It may be a good idea for me to finish the first game in the meantime huh

Steam doesn't stop mod support? Fallout: New Vegas is Steamworks exclusive and has a huge and thriving mod community, as all Bethesda games do.
If you're going to hate Steam, at least hate it for well-informed reasons! ;)
Games I play and mod (i.e. M&B and ARMA 2) suffer from Steam when you try to use mods. Of course for many gamers Steam is a good thing but for me it has caused more frustration than joy in the end.

With M&B, I'm assuming you mean autopatching causes issues when mods don't get updated?
