I've been getting really into this band for about 9 months now, and while I'm annoyed that they've appeared on
skins (annoying british take on the OC with added drugtalk, for those not in the country or the know) I feel that not enough of the really cool people (i.e you guys, my face is straight) know whats up. They consist of a monged looking canadian called Ethan and his home-made 8-bit keyboard and a hot pixie-faced harpy called Alice that bounces around the stage shreiking semi-coherently and looking incredibly happy about that. More importantly, they sound like a cross between a broken 1980's arcade machine, techno as heard through about ten inches of mud, cylob in happy pop music-mode and hardcore.
I have been to see them live three times now and they rock twice as hard as anyone I've seen for ages (including the melvins) - it's comic seeing ethan plug in what looks like a shoebox with a bunch of resistors and chips stuck in the back of it and proceed to make more noise than a retard god while Alice prances around like tank girl sticking a strobe-lamp in her own and everyone elses face.
They have an album coming out next month, I think? Anyway, they sound in the same vein as 8-bit shmup music put through the grinder, so I though they might be up some people here's alleys.

I've heard the name mentioned with increasing regularity but hadn't actually gotten around to listening to them at all. Thanks for the links, I'll give them a go.

Man, she'd have to be hot, because that voice is an abomination. The music was good, and I liked how epileptic the video was.
