I'm mostly a boring person who finds intros annoying after the first few episodes, and skips them. Even more so, ones with "Previously on" detailing the episode I just saw.
The (New) Outer Limits one is cool, though.

I can think of a number of theme songs that try to describe what the show is about.
Some of the catchier ones that come to mind start like...
"Now this is the story all about how, My life got flipped, turned upside down..."
and
"A horse is a horse of course, of course..."
