I think its good. I had to check the cover of the movie myself to make sure everything fit.

The only thing I would say to make it closer to the original would be to match the color of the bar below sean connery and above alec baldwin (unless you did already, it seems to be the same color as the text.)

Huh, in the source poster I found, all the text and such was the same color. I am finding now that other posters are different, with the gray bars, but I think I'll stick with the huge-ass image I used for the source. (

It's fine. People probably just had a chuckle and moved on. If you want piles of internet self expression about every little thing you probably have to go to youtube or somewhere hip with the kids like that, and then it's all "lol! gud 1 !!" "lol u suk!" "don't be ahata" "Ha nigga in the whitehouse. we are so screwed" 'fuk u rasist shit!' "u r jst self lothing witey"

The picture of obama is too small. Connery's head takes up the entire vertical space.
Trance on 21/10/2008 at 02:43
The fault of Connery's beard and hair.
It takes up just the right amount of space so it doesn't look like the submarine is jabbing Obama in the cheek.

Obama's face looks a bit pixelated, and that combined with the wierd things the contrast did to his eye, he looks seriously sinister. Like, evil Obama overlord.
As for the concept, I don't think the movie holds enough cultural weight for anyone to care. I think people are just going to see a bad picture of Obama 'shopped into a poster for a movie their parents may or may not have rented one night when they wanted to play nintendo instead.
Points for effort though, I think it's clever. :) Just being brutally honest.

Haha, that's pretty witty.
I don't remember the old poster, but his face seems rather detached and hovering in the air.
