We all know that there are those who don't like SS1 and/or SS2. If they give valid points, that's alright. But isn't it annoying when they only give stupid arguments?
Take (
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/systemshock2/show_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-28718121&pid=185706) this retard for instance. One of his criticisms is that SS2 is too dark, and that the interface is hard to use. See his response to my messages, particularly the bit about monitor gamma.
Post some of your favourite moron arguments!

Umm, some of the darkness in SS2 annoyed me a bit. Particularly in the Cargo Bays when I could barely see anything.
Drat on 18/6/2006 at 16:38
But this idiot was acting like the whole game is dark.
"Yes, It's F*%#ing dark, and NO I won't turn up the gamma on my monitor."
RocketMan on 18/6/2006 at 16:45
Perhaps its just a machine dependent thing cuz i don't recall having any problems with lighting.

There's a gamma slider in the options, so wtf?

I once came across a sharply negative online-review in which the author made some hilarious points on why Doom (1993) was better in every aspect than System Shock 2. Can't find it atm.

The game wasn't dark except in places I'd expect to be dark for me, I didn't have any problems...
Miukiel on 19/6/2006 at 02:24
Isn't the point of 'dark' to enhance the atmosphere in the game??? If everything was bright or "just to everyone's brightness preference," it might then be something to complain about.
ZylonBane on 19/6/2006 at 05:17
Perhaps, but there's really no need for the discussion to progress beyond, "He's an idiot for not noticing the in-game gamma slider."

A mate of mine did call SS2 rubbish. Apperently he said it had a big bug in it. As we all know we've all seen a few glitches. He would really have a go at me for playing such a buggy game. When pressed he said it didn't move well and it had an ugly hud, with too much of the top taken away with the inventory. Then I showed him how to close the inventory....
Suddenly he loved the game :laff:
